Hotel in Duluth is selling off all of its properties

DULUTH, Ga.

— Homes in DulUTH have been sold off by the owners of a hotel in the town and the owner of a restaurant in the same building.

The property owner, Stephen L. Thompson, said he has sold off his Duluth hotel and a restaurant to the city.

He said he had no idea he was going to be facing foreclosure in Duluz, Ga., about an hour from Atlanta.

Thompson said he’s also selling his Duluz restaurant and his DulUTH hotel to the town.

The property has been vacant since 2008 and was being marketed as an upscale destination hotel for tourists.

He said he is trying to keep the property and the restaurant.

Thompson said the business is not doing well.
