Disney World, Hollywood, and Disney Cruise Line all getting new hotels in 2019
NEW YORK — Disney World will be moving its resort hotels to hotels in the Los Angeles area, beginning in 2019, the company announced Thursday.
The move will bring the company’s hotels in California and New York together under one roof, which will help keep guests and staff happy.
Disney CEO Bob Iger said the move will benefit the entire company.
The company said it will keep its parks in Orlando and California, while adding hotels in Orlando, Los Angeles, Chicago and New Orleans, and in Chicago.
Disney has spent billions of dollars renovating its parks over the years, and the company will continue to invest to create more vacation experiences, Disney CEO Robert Iger announced at the company�s annual shareholders meeting in Los Angeles.
In 2020, Disney will move its theme parks to a new property in Orlando.
In 2021, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be opened in Los Gatos.
In 2022, Disney�s Animal Kingdom will open in the Orlando area.
The Magic Kingdom will be relocated to Disneyland in 2019.
