How a Foxwoods hotel saved me $100,000 with a $3 million loan
It’s easy to get stuck into the trap of thinking a Foxwood hotel is the most expensive hotel in the world.
It’s not, but it’s still a bargain when you consider that a hotel like this, a 10-story, 3,500-square-foot gem at 1-West Park Avenue, is only slightly more than $3.5 million, according to real estate data firm Trulia.
But when it comes to a Fox Woods hotel, the savings aren’t just limited to the rooms.
There are also the amenities.
“You can see the beauty and the history and the comfort of the place,” said Laura Johnson, an associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Business.
“The hotel is truly a jewel in the crown.”
What a Fox will save youFirst off, you won’t pay any of the usual hotel fees, like taxes, taxes, fees for parking and other fees that can add up to tens of thousands of dollars per year.
In addition, the Foxwoods offers the lowest rates on any hotel in town.
It also has the lowest rate of occupancy for a non-residents, which means guests who want to stay longer stay at the hotel instead of spending time on the town.
That means you can enjoy the amenities without having to worry about paying any of those bills, said Trulia’s Johnson.
It also means that you’ll save a lot on taxes.
As a resident of the state of Pennsylvania, you pay $1,917 per year in state income tax.
That’s down from $3,547 last year.
So instead of paying $2,500 a year in taxes, you’ll pay just $1 a year, saving you nearly $50,000.
You’ll also save on taxes by staying at the Fox Woods for the entire year.
The hotel, with its outdoor pool, spa and restaurant, is one of the few hotels in town that’s open on a 24-hour basis.
In 2017, there were no weekends in the city, but you can take advantage of those weekends and get free parking at the nearby Walmart and get some free groceries.
The hotel has a full service kitchen and a spa, which can be a huge savings.
“If you have a fancy spa, you can get a massage for free and you can go and have your face painted for free,” said Trudi Lohmann, a partner at the marketing firm Lohman and Associates, which works with hotels to understand how to optimize the properties they manage.
“And then you can just go out and do your own thing and do it as you please.”
A great place to stayThe Foxwoods is also one of those places that offers the best value per square foot, Trulia says.
That includes a suite at the top of the property, which includes a pool, heated spa and a private chef’s kitchen.
The pool is one-third the size of the average hotel pool and features a private Jacuzzi and Jacuzzis.
“It’s an elegant spa with private hot tubs, a hot tub with steam,” said Johnson.
The spa also has a hot bar, which is $19.95 per hour.
It offers a range of activities for the family, ranging from yoga to massage and weightlifting.
“I really enjoy the weight lifting and I love the massage and all of the things you can do for your health,” said the 25-year-old, who lives in New York City.
She also loves the food, including the steak house, which has a range, including steak, salmon, lamb, chicken, turkey, pheasant, lobster and oyster.
“They’re just the best, most delicious food in town,” she said.
The Fox Woods also has indoor pools and a pool deck, which are just $2.95 an hour.
The best thing is that it’s right on the lake, which makes it perfect for kids to play in the water.
“In the summertime, you have to park, but now it’s a playground,” said Lohmeier.
“So if you park, you’re basically paying for a pool.”
What it’s all aboutThe Foxwood’s property management team does a great job of planning for the future, and that includes finding a property that will work well for guests and residents.
“We have a plan for the hotel and our staff is there every day to make sure we’re maximizing every dollar,” said David Pritchard, president and CEO of the Foxwood.
“Our staff is really passionate about the project, and we try to stay on top of it every step of the way.”
The Fox is not only a great place for families to stay, it also has great amenities for the whole family.
The resort offers fitness center, gym, sauna, fitness center with weights, indoor pool, restaurant and spa, and a video room, all for the price
